The Drunken Lizard Pub

Hey I just got the game recently and I am on my first play through so far I love it. Any ways I am stuck and need a hint. I am in the maintenance area and I need so help, I am trapped in a room. It is the long room with the three caged salamanders and the chest full of goodies. I can't find a switch to open the door can someone help?

After they are dead, look in the cages for a lever to get out.
