The Drunken Lizard Pub

Here's a few items I picked up:

- Joe Dever's Lone Wolf Game Books 1-9 (excluding #2 )
- Terminus (Runs on PC/MAC/Linux!)
- Myst 1 (never did play all the way through...)
- Hoyle Solitaire Volume 2 on 5.25" floppy!
- Master of Orion 2 & 3 (I know everyone hates #3, but hey, it's part of a series)
- Worperfect Suite 7 (For a 133Mhz Pentium Laptop I've installed Windows 98 on)

And of course I didn't pay more than $2 for a single item... $2 being the Hoyle game of all things. To top it all off my friend got me a 10% discount with her student ID.

aren't some of those games/software already available on line for free? LOL

I get it. It's about getting the original packaging and the original CD.

We have a used book store here in Indy that sells software. There are always great deals on classics, and sometimes rare gems pop up. I've never had any luck with software at Goodwill.

Never any software, but I did once buy some really, really cool old silverware at Goodwill... or was it Salvation Army? ...anyway, I don't know why, but cool-looking silverware gets me excited.

Never saw anything software related at any of my local Goodwill outlets, however, a good friend of mine, Dan, purchased a seriously cool, kiln-glazed dragon shaped bong at the Goodwill nearest him slightly less then two years back. It was mixed in with their glassware products. In fact, er...we may or may not have made use of it this past weekend...depending upon who is listening here, lol.

Gotta love Goodwill, indeed...

I've heard first hand of Goodwill "finds" that would knock you silly. My wife's parents have made quite a bit of money scavenging Goodwill and finding treasures, which they ebay. They've ran across valuable artwork and pottery, antique books (some signed by famous people), rare stamps, uber-collectible toys, etc. I think at least once a month they tell of something that they bought for .50 cents at Goodwill that they resold on ebay for $20 - $300. It's crazy! If only I had an eye for things that are treasures and not trash.

But you do! It's called Eschalon!

Leather jackets always fetch more on eBay.
Vintage military clothes can also sell for a bit more on eBay,
but you have to know what you are buying.

I've also scored vintage stainless flatware.

But I'm still searching for an adamantium vorpal blade.

I can rarely pass up Trivial Pursuit for $2...I have more different sets than I can count.

One Goodwill that just opened had an old Sega CD set...didn't want to chance it not working though, especially since I already have too many old systems that just sit around in boxes

Personally I am excited for Garage Sale season right now...Cheap video games, and Lego sets that people offload for way too little money

I've always been the only one I've ever known who ever wanted to play Trivial Pursuit. The only one. Nobody ever wants to play it with me. What does that say about me?

Chess, once in a long while. Scrabble, occasionally. But Trivial Pursuit? Never.
