We all want our next dose of Eschalon, I don't think the buzz from the first one has worn off for me but I do NOT want to know what that hangover will feel like when it does end.

Of course if it's not cut properly it can be rather poisonous...

On a side note, my posts continue to degenerate into drug metaphors. Hmm...

When you start talking about the "purple haze" we'll worry. Okay, that's too weird. My iTunes just started playing Hendrix (not "Purple Haze" though, fortunately, "Voodoo Child (Slight Return)"). Maybe I'm the one having the flashbacks.

No, I dont want to think about Book III waiting.

2009 is almost over, it will be a sad day for me if I have to wait for Book II until 2010.

I just try not to think about book II

That way when it finally ccomes out I'll be like

yeah i mean what's with all the release date changes i mean q4 of 2009 been there allmost over okay we do understand there are not alot of people working on the game but instead of all the stuff u did with book I at the beginning u could have been working on book II then right or not i mean correct me if im wrong

Anyways, thanks for your patience everyone. We just wrapped up an alpha test and fixed a ton of bugs. It was also a good time to reorganize our "to do" list and get a better picture of where we stand. We have an important date coming up soon that we are prepping Book II for (more info on this at that time).

I realize at this point it may be very late 2009 before we are finished- it could even be very early 2010. Book II is so much more game than Book I was, and it's taking far longer than we thought to finish it up. But I can promise you this: We are getting closer to the finish line!

No one wants to play an unfinished game, so sit back, relax, and let us finish it up right. We've got some cool stuff coming up (I've been collecting video clips for a trailer which is going to be so awesome-looking) and we're thinking up some ways to give away some T-shirts...Not to mention there are a few interesting RPGs coming out in the next 2 months to ease the wait for Book 2.

Yeah, especially the ones that aren't Windows-only!

Now that I have a little extra cash again, I'd be willing to drop some bills on a decent CRPG!

my opinion is take your time. i'm anxious, but would rather you be happy with the game you will put out. i trust you guys because book 1 was fantastic and if you're working harder to make book 2 better, then i can wait. hope that goes for most fans.

and if you don't mind letting us know of those other upcoming RPG's, that would be great.

Well everyone may have a different opinion, but I am interested in Avernum 6 and Torchlight, both of which should be available in the next 2 months. Risen just went gold also, if you are into more mainstream RPGs.

okay will i guess i was kinda jumpy i am sorry consider i didn't say any thing and plus i can wait a couple of months right but what i would really love and i think every body around here is a couple of new screen shots since the version is done
