I have been looking for a good single-player, browser-based RPG for my nephew...hard to come by so far. Any recommendations?
Thanks for listening.

Have you looked at Sryth or Dinky Dungeon? Though I think Dinky Dungeon can be downloaded and played offline. I beta tested it for a while till I got sick.Rush wrote:I have been looking for a good single-player, browser-based RPG for my nephew...hard to come by so far. Any recommendations?

Sryth is pretty good, though at higher levels it can be hard. You can't do all the quests unless you 'join' for $20 a year but what you can do is good.
Those are the only ones I've done in recent years. I'm sure someone will have better choices.

There's also AdventureQuest... a flash based RPG that vaguely reminds me of The Legend of the Red Dragon BBS game of yore..

Thanks for the suggestions, peeps. I am off to check them out.

There's always WayFarer for a spot of (kinda uncharacteristically easy) rogueliking. http://benhem.com/games/wayfarer/

Oh great! Thanks for the link. I got a lot of information from there. I downloaded the Mac version a couple of days ago. didn't know there was this site. I loved (not really) the attacks on legs and arms. Had both legs get too injured to use and messages reading, "You drag yourself along the floor with your arms.." and the action on screen was slower. Luckily I could still use Staffsling and was able to get to a healing fountain I found earlier.Zeno wrote:There's always WayFarer for a spot of (kinda uncharacteristically easy) rogueliking. http://benhem.com/games/wayfarer/
