Found this little game on Softpedia this morning. Kind of like Angband. Very primative graphics, but so far I've had a bit of fun playing it...once I figured out the key commands. I ended up screen capturing the instruction page and had it up in a corner of my screen while playing the game. Saved a lot of time having to hit escape all the time to figure out what to do. This is not a game you want to move around swiftly in. There are teleport traps (that I've found so far), fountains that can heal completly or harm you. There is a well in the town above that will also heal you. As the title says it is in alpha stage at the moment but it looks like it has promise.

I've been playing it just to have a little something different till BW asks for Beta testers for Book2. :)

Here is where you can get it (below). I thought it was just for Mac's but when I googled it and looked at 'fix' list it apparently is for PC too. The link below is for the Mac page. You'll have to look for it on the PC page I guess. (scroll down about half way)

The game's official site is here. http://benhem.com/games/wayfarer/ You can play it in-browser via Java.

I've known about the game for couple of months now. The developer fairly regularly updates, so there's always some nifty little feature or bugfix going up.

It's a very neat game, still early in development though.

I like the graphical style a lot, it merges retro appeal with 3d perfectly, and it's quite clear what every sprite represents.
