Out of curosity, never having heard of the above, I checked Wiki.

Not my cup of tea. I like Escalon type games.

It's less of an RPG, more of a sudo-RTS type game. I have the original on the xBox 360. It was fun enough (for the 12 bucks I paid for it). I guess the upgrade system was more reminiscent of an RPG, but it really plays like an RTS. It's certainly a fun jaunt through though, we don't get to play evil characters nearly often enough.
