Hi,

I found a riddle inside Tangletree Ossuary and would like to know if I am on the right track or a hint towards solving (please don't give it away though). There are four chests with descriptions.

One says 'endless ribbon of metal'

So I tried putting a tin ring inside

Second says 'smashing victory'

So I tried putting hammer inside

Third says 'consumed by fire'

So I tried setting fire to it with Demon Oil I

Fourth says 'womb of a tree'

So I tried putting the acorn I found (wherever I found it).

You got the first two and there are other items that will also work for those two. The last two require specific items. The last one doesn't need the acorn and that is needed for another quest. Try some other items and I had trouble with the third one myself.

If you really give up there is another topic that discusses it and gives the items.

Also, the third and fourth items are things that keep popping up as you wander around. However, if you don't currently have them in your inventory, you can usually buy them in a shop.

Oh shoot! I wish I had thought to try that myself. It makes perfect sense after all.
Speaking of, I never tried outright destroying the chests either...

But I would find it indeed hilarious if after enough beatings the the chests just gave in and opened the gate, of course then they'd be liable to close it on you as you're walking through.

Ok, got it. The fourth one had me stumped for awhile, and I even had some in my inventory and then it finally clicked! : )
