I was a pure magic user in book I. Planning on using a pure fighter in Book II. And mix for Book III.
What is everyone here planning on using for Book II?

All of them.
Though for my initial run-through I'm just going to wing it, no rules.
Skills and attributes as I see fit.
Plenty of time for other more focused stuff later.
And I WILL be trying out a merchant "class" character in Book II eventually, just to see how it compares to Book I.

I'm going to try a ranger-ish type guy first, with a little elemental for predator sight and whatnot.

For me its gonna be magic. Really like to see the special effects of the fireball and stuff. Warrior is for my 2nd try.

Ditto for me!
But like the others said, I'll probably be replaying this as every type of character until Book 3 comes out!

I've done a mage/cleric/alchemist combo, next I'll try thief/alchemist.
The combonations you can get in Book 2 are seemingly endless!

My first playthrough in Book I was a virtuous warrior (paladin) that focused on sword, shield, heavy armor and divination. I imagine I'll do that again for my first playthrough in Book II.

I've been replaying Book I for a couple years, so there is no question that I'll replay Book II many many times

Almost word-for-word "ditto" from me.
I'll be playing Fighter first for sure. I'm very likely to choose Virtuous as well, for the "free" Bless spell. My weapons focus will be Sword & Bow, and (at first) Leather Armor.
In terms of magic, I plan no restrictions, so I fully expect this character will evolve into a "Jack of All Trades" type.

Three more days! I cannot wait!
I was a mage first time through in Book I, and then a warrior second time.
Think I might do the same... though I really can't decide and I'm sure I'll change my mind a dozen times.

More often than not I play warriors in fantasy RPGs whether video games or pen & paper so that's what I'll play first. I've always been fond of clerics and shamans also so I will surely play something along those lines in the future too. In futuristic RPGs I'm partial to snipers and subterfuge based characters but that's a different topic altogether.

I usually play either a warrior or ranger type. I just liked to be able to wear the heavy plate armour (Which I have a 15 century plate suit in my house by the way) and use the heavy weapons.
But rangers with their bows are very cool too.
Thinking of trying something different this time around...but not sure what yet.
I have trouble playing mages just because I like hack and slash with weapons and armor too much to let that go
Maybe I will try some kind of Elemental magic warrior this time or something.

I'll start with a Fighter (like I did in Book I) but I'm also gonna put some points at Cartography.

I think i'll make a really dodgy barbarian at first, or traditional paladin. I like to save the magicks for later. My favourite chars tend to be hand to hand figthers mostly so it's gonna be swords/some other melee weapon, heavy armor and lot of HP's for a start.
