How did you destroy it? I've been bashing at it for hours, but have not been able to destroy it yet.

Demon oil.
It took me 5 or 6 flask, waiting for the effect to wear off before lauching another one (not sure if damage adds up if you lauch one each turn).

Good 'ol bashing works fine though. Just be patient.

Another way is to lug a couple of explosive barrels over there, which is how I did it. The char marks around the ground are a clue that that's one way to go. I don't remember if it took me multiple barrels or not; I seem to think it took two.
As an aside, I really love the moveable barrels in this one. Can be handy in setting traps for larger monsters...

Keep in mind that you do more damage in power mode... you should always switch over when bashing inanimate objects.

Slaps head..DUH!..

I forgot about that! I just used barrels the first time and the second time hit it club. Of course, had to stop now and then and hit the annoyed insects.

INGENIOUS!
I wish I had thought of that before. I chucked three Demon Oils at the darn thing, then tried bashing it with a hammer. But I had to keep running back to the smith's shop to fix my hammer, because I was barely scratching it. (And I have to wait for him to restock his inventory before I can hope to buy more Demon Oils).
Well, now I know. And knowing is half the battle!

i used 1 barrel of nitro/dynomite..whatever they are called.
it took half of the HP of it.
the rest I used a few arrows (10) and destroyed two crap swords.
I am going to buy the brawler book....that way I can hit stuff with my bare hands and not damage myself. i bet that would take a long time with the dragonel nest but it might be nice for barrels/doors.
