Do the EB2 continue the story of the EB 1? Yes or no?

Just don't spoil, cause I'm on the half way to beat the EB 1.

Book I happenings are referred to, but it is definately not necessary to even know what happened in Book I to play Book II. And Book II is every bit as good as Book I, maybe even better.

Thank you very much

Now I don't need to install EB 1 again to find out what's happened to my Hero.
Gonna try demo version :>

Don't worry, there's a guy you meet right at the beginning of the game who offers to refresh your memory of the events of EB1 if you want.

Don't forget the journal you've made that's in your house. Read it and it explains a few things.
