Applauding creativity

Post by Buckets »

I'd just like to take a minute out of my intensive playing to applaude the creativity I've been seeing in Book II. I am extremely impressed with the extensive story-telling that goes well beyond what we saw in Book I. The skill books are well fleshed out with detailed and sometimes humourous stories, the character dialogue is intriguing and the quests are proving to be twisted and fun.

The weather effects combined with the music give a whole new quality to my emotional enjoyment. I was caught in a bad thunderstorm in the middle of the night with my torch blowing out repeatedly, not able to see where I was going. I was being assaulted by dragonels and couldn't find my way out of the situation. It was realistic enough for me to feel afraid. Wow! That was truly unexpected.

Overall, I am truly impressed! :o

:D I agree. Try playing it with rain and thunder/lightning in the game and outside in real life too. Now THAT was scarey!!!

A good set of headphones/earbuds will take the auditory experience to another level. I found out that a $25 pair of koss earbuds provided more sound than a $300 pair of studio monitors without having to crank up the volume.
