Hi,

One of the Boarheads fled from a fight heading towards the zone change area between "Eastern Fellpine Forest" and "Felpine Forrest". I blocked the path between me and the Boarhead with a Barrel. After firing some magic at it, it turned around, fled towards "Felpine Forrest" and disappeared.
I can not finish my quest to exterminate the Boarheads because of that last one gone missing.

Any workaround available?

Fleeing creatures don't just disappear. He's out there. He's probably laughing at you.

Go do what you know you need to do. Find it, and exterminate it.

You wouldn't have happened to use poison to damage it.... ? If so it could be already dead.

Will you get a message when you've killed the last of them?
I've lost track of the number of boreheads I've killed.
Besides of that I've killed two or three of them before I got that quest.

So I don't know wether I've completed the quest or not.
..and I don't want to belie the priest who gave me that quest

Sure they just don't vanish? I could target it but got a "behind obstacle" message and could not fire at it any longer. I qicksaved, reloaded and the borehead was gone.
I scouted again all over Fellpine forest area but couldn't find anymore boreheads. Any console command available to check that out in detail?

If there are beetles left to kill, the priest that asked you to do the quest will tell you the job is unfinished. I've also spent time tracking down one last beetle. Also, I killed a beetle before being given the quest and I was able to complete the quest with no trouble. As for message when killing the last beetle, I recall it was something like 'beetle dies and you get 300 XP'

What I did was quicksave after I killed a beetle, quicktravel back to Port Kuudad, talk to the priest, and if he told me there were more, I quick-loaded and went hunting again.

If you leave a zone and return, monsters tend to return to near where you first encountered them. So a wounded borehead will be back about where you first fought it.

Thanks for your helpful replies. I abandoned the char a day ago without ever seeing a borehead again. I started all over with a new one. I will have a closer look at the borehead's this time!

Although the time to kill one will be dramatically reduced

This quest badly needed an update to the quest text for each beetle you killed. For example, a "Beetles left kill: X" sentence at the end of the quest description text that got changed for each one you took out.

Agreed.

If the beetle wandered off, and met a `blue-devil`, then he`s a goner, and that probably means I won`t finish that quest either.

Good news, I got the quest, so you don`t have to kill them yourself, let psycho lizard do the hard work for you.

I searched high and low for hours up on hours marking every part of the map and I cannot complete this quest. This is bullcrap

You looked on each of the three maps where there are boreheads?
