Rogue stats - plz help

Hi everybody,
I've just rolled my first char in Book2 and need some advice about the stats before I really continue.
I want to play as a rogue who's strength lies in hiding in shadows and moving silently, picking locks, disarming traps and dealing a great deal of dmg with daggers, wearing light armor.
Are those stats ok for lvl1? Can I improve? And on which skills do I need to focus on the next levels?
Since it's the very beginning of the game I'd be ok with re-rolling this one.

It looks like a reasonable start to me. The way I got a feel for each type of general character was by examining the pre-built starter characters that the game includes (press F1-F5 at new character screen). Here's the starter rogue to compare:

From the character creation screen, you can hit the multi-sided dice to re-roll the stats until none are lower than 10. If you are persistent, you can have all stats at 12 or higher before adding to them.

Hide in shadows and move silently aren't as useful for a 1st level character. You would be better off with a weapon skill being higher and pick locks. Also without lore you may find that you can't identify items.

You suggest that getting Hide in shadows and move silenty later on? Maybe from a trainer?

What I'm trying right now is a character with 15 in each stat.
Whatever the class.
Seems to run fine for a rogue with Divine magic.

I found that a rogue needs the most skill points of any character class. You really need trainers to get everything. If you plan to use hide in shadows effectively then a trainer really helps otherwise use items for stealing at the start.
Getting divine magick for lore makes it easier.

So you're all basically saying that my current roll isn't good enough for playing a thief-rogue based character?
Shall I re-roll him?

Nah, that should be fine.
Some people will just sit there and reroll for HOURS until they get 'the perfect build.'

Is lore really needed in EB2 for dumber characters? In 1, it was just a complement for characters with low int or wis, whichever governed item recognition.

It is if you don't want to pay shopkeepers to ID it for you. Once id'd you can sell it or use it. Selling gets you back a few coins extra only if you have no Merchantile skill. If you do have that skill, the higher the level the more cash you get for selling it. For grouped unknown items, you only have to id one of them, the rest are identified at the same time free. You get a profit off of selling those. Or, if you already have an exact copy of the item in inventory, pick it up and place it on top of unknown. IF it is exactly the same you instantly know what it is and can sell or keep as you please.
If you have a higher INT you can id some of the lesser items right away. The higher the better but not for all. You need to pay for those or have divine mage 'lore' (level 5-6) or skill lore at 15+
