Has anyone found the snow pup? I've killed so many white wolves I can't carry the pelts.

spoiler:

Southwestern area of the map "Western Helice Lake" (which is south of "Northern Helice lake", which is east of "Dunmore Region").

You can recognise the correct area by being attacked by a big wolf (the mother), whom you must not kill, you can simply run away from her. The puppies are in a kind of small hill, which can be opened like a chest.

In case you were wondering, the snow pups sell for good coin on Picaroon Isle

Their whimpering noise also strangely reminds me of sea gulls. :P

What I want to know is why Lord Dwarfton demands you only take one of them or you fail the quest?

I want one for myself too :3

Cause if you take more than one, the wolf packs will come to the Dwarves and wipe them out and or the Mountain goats or whatever they called them in retaliation. I tried getting one for myself in the mistaken belief the wolves would leave me alone as I looked for the back door to the 'Dwarven Halls'.

Try putting one of those pups in an empty barrel sometime. They really don't like that! Even if you put some meat in there with them. "Whimper, whine..shut up!"

Wait, seriously? o.o; I thought that was just a cheap way of keeping you from taking more than one since it doesn't make any biological sense that the mother and the other wolves would chase you down forever xD

So the wolves do actually follow you through different areas? I need to try this :D

Ahhh, I actually don't know if they follow you forever or even across maps. I just happened to have a pup and they went after me. Came to a border crossing walked a few steps and there were more wolves coming at me from in front and to the sides, not behind where the borde was. I may have just lucked into several batchs. Shrug. :)

I suppose that is a possibility :P

I just noticed their behavior seemed similar whether I had a pup or not so I was going off of that xD

What happens is that when you leave Durnore after taking more than one pup there is a reception committee of wolves waiting to greet you.

I would guess that you can still get the quest from the dwarves, but that you'll get the same result as if you'd killed Shebara after having the quest. Is that the snow wolf invasion, or does that only happen if you take too many pups?

If you do damage to Shebara, then you automatically fail the quest when you turn in the one pup.
