So I have somehow managed to get stuck in the area in Kuudad with the spiders, and the doors won't open to let me out. I had heard its possible to edit ones save game file to alter a characters location, so I wanted to know how to do so, so I don't have to start over because I'm stuck -_-

Well, its actually a funny story. I managed to fix the problem (I simply quick traveled out, which I didn't think would work).

What happened was, after a long night of playing EB2, I went to bed (but apparently left the game running, not thinking). Then, the next morning, not thinking, I loaded a second instance of the game, not realizing I had left the game up from the night before. I was playing with a different save of the same character (wondering to myself where all my progress had gone).

This second instance of the game was a save where I had yet to kill the spiders. Confused, I shook it off, and alt tabbed out to my desktop to look up something real quick.

Now, when I went back to the game, I went into the first instance (the one running from the night before). Since both characters were in the same place (Everdale, at the moment), I proceeded to hike to Kuudad, none the wiser.

When I arrived in Kuudad, seeing the spiders still active, I went and talked to the NPC to get the quest, but he refused to give it to me. Confused, and figuring the gates would open all on their own, I went in and killed the spiders for the XP.

Then the gate didn't open.

Concerned I had stumbled into an unrealized bug, I alt-tabbed back to my browser to see if there was anything on the forums in regards to this. It was here I realized I was running two instances of the game (hey, it was 730 and coffee was still brewing).

So here I am, with my (much) higher level character thwarted by the doors of this warehouse.

I'm still confused as to how this happened (my only guess is that, when I later zoned into Kuudad, it got its variables crossed).

So let this be a lesson: Never game before having your morning coffee.

No, seriously, don't do it.

You see, it turns out that by doing so, I apparently reset everything in the entire game. All the monsters, chests, barrels, boxes, and what have you completely returned to their original state somehow. It cost me my Cerulecent and Lutescent bells (which didn't repop, apparently).

Time to start over -_-
