Console command for teleport
Console command for teleport
Lot of my gaming time goes in walking around the places I've already visited. For example that witch tower and thieves arcadia are horrible places because there's so much walking if you want to do bussiness there again.
So I'm requesting a console command for teleport in coordinates. In addition how can I activate console with european keyboard? Couldn't find the way in eschalon I.

Er... there's no "console" command in Book I or II.
Re: Console command for teleport
Have you looked into the portal spell?
Re: Console command for teleport
Isn't it high tier and only available for mages?Buckets wrote:Have you looked into the portal spell?

Yes, it is.avv wrote:Isn't it high tier and only available for mages?Buckets wrote:Have you looked into the portal spell?
But you can also use the quick travel function by clicking on the map.
Than you can travel to already activated waypoints.

Please explain. Clicking on which map?
Re: Console command for teleport
You click on the map in the top right corner to access the quick travel menu. If you have touched some specific signs and obelisks in the game, those locations are saved to this menu and you can quick travel there. However, those locations do not include Lorewitch Tower and the thieves' guild. You'd need the portal spell for them.
Re: Console command for teleport
Ooh, I would certainly like a keyboard shortcut specifically geared for the Portal spell. Maybe just "P" or something. Would be nicer than having to hop into the spell menu, scrolling, selecting the level, etc. Perhaps hitting "P" would pop up a little menu with the available spell levels that you can cast, and then just throw the usual "Open or Anchor" dialog. I'll have to remember to ask about it whenever a Book III wishlist thread pops up. :)

You can assign spells to the 1-9 keys:xolotl wrote:Ooh, I would certainly like a keyboard shortcut specifically geared for the Portal spell. Maybe just "P" or something...
Call the spell menu, select a spell and select the strength.
Don't close the menu, but hit the 1-9 key which you like to assign.
Ready.
Ingame, when pressing the assigned key, you have readied the spell.
It is displayed in top left corner.
You only have to press the right mouse.
Re: Console command for teleport
IIRC this doesn't work for the portal spell, because it is cast in the moment you select the strength.JoeSlow wrote:You can assign spells to the 1-9 keys:xolotl wrote:Ooh, I would certainly like a keyboard shortcut specifically geared for the Portal spell. Maybe just "P" or something...

At least that was the problem in Book 1.
Re: Console command for teleport
As bkrueger mentioned, the Portal spell acts differently and can't be bound to the number keys (besides which, I wouldn't want to use up the number slots for Portal anyway, since I typically feel strapped for spell slots as it is).JoeSlow wrote:You can assign spells to the 1-9 keys:
Not a big deal, of course, though - don't take this for complaining. :)
