Wait time

Other than camping and renting a room, is there a way to speed time up in the game?
To be more specific, I need an ink and quill and there are none to be had in Port Kuudad, Eastwillow, Dunsmore, or Everdale. I and my gear are in perfect health, so any ideas?
Thanks folks!

My idea: got unhealthen your gear on some more monsters for a few days and get more loot and XP. It's a great way to fill the time waiting for stores to refresh
In any case, I've been known to rent a room for 7 days (it's only 210 gold!) for the shop refresh. The most annoying thing is that you get the "free meal" at the moment of rental, and then if it's 24 hours to 8am again, you get stuck often hungrier than when you rented. It's really the easiest way to pass time, since the space bar doesn't repeat if you hold it down.

Or you could just go look in the chest of drawers in the druids sanctuary.

Also, passing time can be spent cheaper if you go home and sleep in your own bed. Click 7 times on the bed and *poof!* a week has gone by.
..click..there's no place like home..click..there's no place....

And you're starving. And your home is too far from a quick travel point. But, yes, it saves 210 gold.

Your home's a very short walk to a quick travel point. (There's one right in Eastwillow). As for starving: you'd need to get food no matter how you decide to pass the time, so just stock up before going to your home and eat after every second or third rest. There's a well right outside your door for water.
My character has the Create Food and Draw Water spells, so neither are an issue for him. I actually don't mind spending the time camping, as I get components for potions from the Forage skill and make potions while the time passes. Works well for me, although I realize that might be too tedious for other players.

Oh, I know about the Eastwillow travel point - but it's far further from my home than the Everdale travel point is from the Everdale hotel, by about 3 minutes of tedium. What can I say? I'm impatient. Which is also why I don't camp for it.
And my point about food/starving is: if you drop the 210 gold to pass a week in lodging, you only wake up 24 hours hungry at the end (they feed you every night) - whereas at home, you finish up 154 hours hungry. Sure, with magic, neither is an issue, but without it, it's a lot easier to replace one day of food than seven.
Also, you can stock with the hotel clerk every morning (since all the shops in the world cycle simultaneously).
Definitely a route for the lazy. Camping earns you money and lets you repair, hotel costs you money but takes no real time. Sleeping at home takes less real time but has a longer walk

. Though I'd still go with my original suggestion of "pass most of the week seeking out monsters/quests elsewhere, and make XP and money while waiting."

Well you could get over on the camp/starve thing very easily and with about 300g expense... learn one level of Elemental and Divination Magic and the Draw Water and Create Food spells. Never go hungry again....
