The Drunken Lizard Pub

There are these walls, apparently enclosing a small squre, at the conjunction of these four map sections, here:



You can see them from all four sections. The only place where there might be an entrance is in Broken Blade, but I couldn't get close enough to see more than this:



Is this just a tease, or is something actually there? Anybody know?

I noticed that, too, but I just thought I'd eventually stumble across the access point while bumbling about Broken Blade. Your post is a reminder to me that I had both forgotten to pursue this neat little structure, and the fact that I have failed to gain entrance. Hmm. I'll have to look into this more.

I searched and searched and found no access to that, so I'm guessing it was an access point for a quest that got dropped, so BW just put trees in front of the entrance for now.

Having poked around in the map files, btw, I can confirm that there's nothing in there.

So, not even a ruined house, or a trapdoor, or anything?!

(I thought for sure these walls surrounded a trapdoor, and this was to be an entrance for a dungeon that was subsequently dropped from the game...)

Correct. Could be that there was a plan for something which was never implemented, of course, but there's literally nothing in there.

Clearly those walls were built to enclose the nothingness within and prevent it from spreading over all of Eshalon.
