Fun way to take out Ghorr

Not that the idea of lugging around powder kegs to kill things is new, but I got to thinking it would be fairly fun to go overboard with it:

It's a bit tricky to do, actually (on top of having to have a character who can lug around 160lbs of powder kegs in addition to her equipment) because Ghorr tends to actively avoid being hedged in (and apparently can't be Entangled). In the end I had to resort to some Haste action, which simplified the process considerably. But hey, it's worth it! One-shot Ghorr kill! And it's fun watching him stand there, helpless, waiting for the inevitable.

(Disclaimer: I did do that with a character I'd cheated with; I don't see why it wouldn't be possible to do this without cheating, though)

(Oh, and I'd be remiss if I didn't point out that it looks like you actually probably only need four kegs, both to kill him and to trap him in-place. Eight seems like a much more satisfying way to go, though.)

That's good work there. Overkill is is underutilized talent :)

I had a thief in light armor that could carry 4 kegs plus usual equipment and potions so it is possible without editing the character. If you can cast ogre strength or create a potion than it becomes easier.

cheat or not... trapping him must have be a treat.. is he truly trapped where you can dance around and blow raspberries. can not move them himself or bash with blowing up...

need to work on a horde of powder kegs on next run - interesting

I like it! Had something like that in mind for various tough battles, but never got around to doing. As it stood, I collected every powder keg I could find (only used a couple during the course of my adventures) and dropped them on the ground at Eastwillow. I believe I had 15 or 16 lined up there by the end of the game. Should have put on a show for the townsfolk, I guess...

That's brilliant! I have fond memories of abusing "solid" objects in Ultima 6 to get up to this kind of mischief.
