Is it possible, with quite a bit of stealth and door-bashing, to get all of the 4 bells and their 30 000 experience points without gaining any exp beforehand?
How many levels would you instantly gain?

No. You have to turn in Ruel's book to St. Gilliam first to get the door open to the bell tree. Also you would need to lockmelt or lots of lock picking and dense nimbus to reach some of the bells. So getting to them would require some work that needs experience to get the spells or skills.

Yeah, I forgot that. Pretty sad if that is actually the only thing preventing this "challenge".

You could bash doors and chests down with your fists using Unarmed Combat. I think.

The max Unarmed a level one PC could have is 5. Some of the doors are pretty solid and might not even be damaged at that level. Though I suppose there's always powerkegs.

To get no experience you would have to either bash down or use lockmelt on all doors, as you get experience if you pick them. Also, however, at least one gazer must die (and I don't think there's a way to get it to kill itself). I'm not sure but you might also get experience for using the secret password with the dwarf under the dam.

Are you sure about the gazer thing?
In my first playthrough, I managed to get through the Lorewitch's Level 1 door just by picking the lock - you
don't necessarily need to get that key from that gazer.
And the second gazer, I don't think you have to kill at all, for any reason, right?
So I think you can avoid killing
both gazers, if I'm not mistaken...

I'm sure you could do it without leveling beforehand but without gaining experience would be a real chore. Has anyone attempted to finish the game as a level 1 character? I've gone up to and through Port Kuudad without leveling, just to get a big bump in Mana. I did this per a suggestion from Randomizer(I think) in a different thread....

You would have to level up to cast lockmelt since I don't think you would have the health to survive standing around bashing in the door in Lorewitch.
In Hammerlorne you would need lots of invisibility potions or high hide in shadows to evade the undead in level 2 to reach all the levers.
You could make it through as a relatively low level character.

According to Randomizer's quest list, you get ~30 000 exp for doing every main quest. It's possible to skip a couple of them, but you would still end up level 10 or so.
