I was wondering...
Is the music of Book II copyrighted?

That particular track is not "ours". It is a royalty-free track, so it is likely you'll hear it used in other games.

Nonetheless, I like that track - it fits Hammerlorne well.
P.S. How exactly does "royalty-free" work? - Is it that you pay a one-time fee to exclusively use the track in your game? How would that impact player-created scenarios and royalty-free tracks?...

Understood. I thought that it was "yours".

Yes- you pay a one-time fee to use the track non-exclusively in a specific project (video game, commercial, movie, etc.).
As long as the user-created content requires the original game to play, then there is no licensing problems with the music. If players were to make content that runs independently from the original game, then that creates a slew of copyright and licensing conflicts.
