I've launched the game, chose DirectX, 32bit and Fullscreen 800x600.

In the middle of character generation, my computer crashed (it just turned off alone).

After restarting windows (Vista), I've launched the game again, but no matter what, it always launches in windowed mode and runs too fast!

What's the problem and what should I do? I've already tried launching in compatibility mode, the bug remains...

Go into your "My Documents", then into "Eschalon Book 1 Saved Games", and delete the file eschalon.cfg.

The computer will remake that file on next load. Tell me if that helps.
