Droping in to say hi

Hello,
About a month ago I bought the first Eschalon: Book I, and I'll probably be buying the second. Where should I start!
We need more companies like you!
1. Laptop friendly - companies that make games that are playable on modern laptops that don't have super duper 3dcards! its seems like every game out there has to be the best 3D graphics which really hurts anyone with an older machine, or a laptop.
2. Alternate OS friendly! Mac Linux, etc. What can I say? Making a cross platform game makes you a friend of mine, and I have lately decided on spending my money on companies who do this. I even started buying Adventure games hehe. This allows me to play finished commercial games on my FreeBSD.
3. DRM friendly! I can go on and on about this one. Like how the PC version of 2 worlds is no longer actually "playable", unless you have already installed it, because the activation server, and the phone line for activation are shut down! Those who purchase the game which is still being sold in bargain bins are in for a surprise when they end up having to scrounge around the net for hacks, or the board posting where one guy from the 2W staff will email you the codes... Or how about Dawn of War 2, where you have to install both steam AND Games for Windows, both which have to update for hours, just so the game can be playable (you have to login to both before playing the game)
I use freeBSD and i love open source but also believe in a game makers right to make commercial games and sell them. I loved arcanum, one of the last great isometric games, I'm glad you all our joining the isometric RPG revival.
