bars of medal

Can you actually do anything with bars of metal (i found a mithral one after killing the stone golem in those chests). I've not seen anywhere to craft items so I suspect not but maybe I missed something critical. I'm around level 16 and have not yet returned the crystal i found in dwarf mine (approx progress in the game)

bars are very good idea of "treasure".
the most detailed "treasures" I`ve seen were those in Yendorian Tales and BG series...
gold nuggets, bars of metals, many precious gems...I like the attitude...and hoarding theese ;>

Well would be nice if you could take them to a blacksmith and have special items made for a price

In MM8, I filled my dragon's inventory up entirely with gemstones, partly because no one had good Merchant skill, and partly because It just seemed like what a dragon would do.
