Basically every grid i walk into i get a quick lag, instead of walking normally.
this needs to be moved into book one forums sorry.
i have tried open gl and direct x
specs

win 7 64 bit
4 gigs ram
amd 2.9 processor

Where did you purchase the game from?

I'm having the same issues from my copy from D2D, and it started after I took the skill chartography. Before the skill, movement was normal.
Another example of what mine is doing is,, the character moves to a grid square, pauses, moves to another grid square, pauses and so on, continuously..
I had a save before I took chartography and loaded it, my character moves normal/freely again.

I've got the same problem here! Every grid I walk, my character pauses, and then walks again. Pause, walk. Pause, walk. I also bought my copy from Direct2Drive.com. Is there a solution? This problem is just annoying, can't play this way.

Is your copy from D2D version 1.06?

Not sure if it matters, I remember getting an error for the uninstaller.

It appears to be a problem with D2D's copy protection.

Anyone who has bought Book I from Direct2Drive and are experiencing stutter problems needs to do the following:

Email a copy of your D2D purchase receipt to support AT basiliskgames DOT com. The subject line should read "D2D stutter issue" or something to that effect so the email can be sorted into the proper bin.

I will see to it that you get a working copy of Book I within 48 hours. Please, if you are not experiencing problems then don't request a new copy of the game. It is hard enough for our extremely small support staff to keep up with emails as it is, so don't break the system by asking for a new copy of the game if your copy runs fine on your system.

I've just sent my e-mail as instructions above, and I'm just posting to say that THIS IS what support is meant to be. Every publisher/developer should learn from BasiliskWrangler and the guys at Basilisk Games. Fast, practical, honest and, above all, respectful to It's customer base. (If you had ANY problem with ANY game from major publishers/developers, then you know what I'm talking about) Thumbs up for Basilisk, way up.

On a side note i wrote to d2d customer service before i wrote to Basilisk and ive still not heard from them

Also i bought Book 2 from d2d. It has no DRM and works fine right off the bat.

I've also bought Book II! But I'll finish Book I completely first, and then, just then, jump into Book II! Let's just hope Basilisk support team can handle all requests in the given 48 hours, it will be some tough job I guess (I guess D2D sold quite some expressive number of copies). By the way, talking about DRM...it's kinda funny how "DRM" (Digital Rights Management = DReaM) can become a "NIGHTMARE" lol. Long live to DRM-free!

I did all from above and i do not mind waiting it is a holiday. and keep up the good work basilisk.

Any news on that? Still playing the demo (the save file can be used in the full version) but I'm waiting for the fixed full version.
