Steam and Linux version

Post by bearro »

Hi, I purchased both Eschalon games on Steam, sadly I see that the Steam version does not include the serial number nor the Linux binaries (that's a great idea BTW employed by the creators of Steel Storm). Is there any way of getting a Linux copy or at least a discount for one?

If only Steam supported Linux, we wouldn't have these problems. Sigh.

I know it's not 100% the same, but steam works flawlessly under wine and there is one example - Steel Storm of a game that uses steam to distribute its Linux binaries - you install it under wine but the app itself is native. Plus there is nothing preventing the game to have a serial number uner steam. :)

I quote, the solution would be distribuite the serials also through Steam. Many other publishers do it.

Is there a chance of any official response to this?
