I searched and don't see this one in the forums yet. If you open a container (barrel for instance) and then bash it while its open, you crash to desktop.

I can't replicate this bug. Perhaps this is happening on a specific barrel, or any does it happen on any object?

i had a maybe similar experience yesterday.
i bashed a barrel and tried to bash a different one right after that.
this lead to a CTD and it was reproduceable.

it happened with the barrels in the coast region south of the map with the town arindel(sp?) on. the barrels were in a house with four of them lined up against the NW wall.

I've had this occur on more then one barrel, but one that works for me is in Aridell, X=90, Y=64. Open Barrel, while open, left shift smack it with bare hands.

Hmm, nope...works for me. Bare handed, smash the barrel, keep smashing even when broken.

There has to be some other factor working there....do you have any spells active when you bash? Wearing any unique gauntlets? Anything like that?

Does this mean that gloves/gauntlets have an effect on barehanded fighting?

I mean anything like +1 AR, or gloves/gauntlets/bracers that give a skill bonus, anything like that.

Just newbie light armor is all I have, leather gloves, +5 mana and +5 hp rings... I even made myself nakkid, no armor no spells and tried again, same result. Took game to a different machine, same result. Weird.

You are trying the bash while the container window is open, correct? Bashing otherwise works good for me.

BAM! Yep, that indeed crashes it.

I'll get this into the 1.01 update.

Yup, that is what I meant in my original post

No problem...my mistake. All fixed in 1.01 now.
