The Cat's Eyes Spell

I just learned divination so I could get this spell to be able to see to fight with my bow in the dark.
Question;
Its still really dark when I cast it on level 1. I assume it gets brighter the higher level you cast it. Is it worth putting more points into divination to make it show things more brightly?

From the description, upping the level only makes it last longer. However, there are two not-so-obvious benefits I've noticed:
1) In combination with a torch, it significantly enhances your LOS
2) It gives you the advantage in combat when all else is dark (bugginess not withstanding)

Hi Saxon:
Maybe a spoiler...
As a dark-loving bow wielder myself, I think the spell you really want is Predator Sight. Unfortunately, it's Elemental not Divine. But what it does is (a) highlight enemies at ANY range and (b) completely negate the to-hit penalty for darkness (whereas Cats Eyes only reduces it).
But Predator Sight does not increase the light level, so you actually need it in combination with Cats Eyes -- PS to see the enemies, CE to see the floors and walls!

Interesting thanks for the replies.
Looks like my Ranger is becoming a jack of all trades, hopes this doesn't penalize me too much later on.
