Does anyone know where to find or buy lockpicks. I've found lots of locked chests which can't be opened; any advise?

Well in aridell the blacksmith? sells them. I guess you can buy them pretty much everywhere..

Not the blacksmith but the tavern owner.

There are also three lockpicks in the hollow treestump by the well next to the house where the game starts.

I am sure I had not that... did you start a rogue character ? I had a bow for my ranger....

Duh... Yep, lockpicks for a rogue or his class-skill would be useless

The contents of the stump at the beginning depends on your class, as follows:

Fighter - Short Sword
Rogue - 3 Picks
Magick User - Scroll of Fire Dart
Healer - Scroll of Fleshboil
Ranger - Birch Short Bow and 40 Arrows

if you don't start a rogue, then there aren't any lockpicks in that stump, but there are 3 lockpicks in either a barrel or a chest right around where you start, just to the northeast i think, unless it was just a random chance that gave them to me?? i have noticed that items are different after reloads when i open barrels or chests sometimes.
