Not sure if this is the right place to ask, Will Steam ever go to version 1.06?
I only ask because they are still on 1.05 and I crash to desktop often.

Found a fix that worked for me. I'll put it here for anyone else on steam. Unchecked "Enable steam community In-game" then changed compatibility setting of the eschalon_book_1.exe file to "Windows 2000", and checked "run this program as an administrator". Can play for hours now with no crash.
