Convert normal licenses to steam licenses?

So, just out of curiosity, can I trade in my standard licenses for Eschalon I & II or steam licenses? I just like the idea of keeping the games there...
Unfortunately, the way Steam licensing works, I don't think you can do that. You'd have to buy the games again on Steam. Of course, if there's a sale coming up, you might be able to pick them up cheap enough not to mind.
DISCLAIMER: I know nothing about any upcoming sales and have no influence in the game pricing. Just throwing that out there to the universe. Don't expect it to listen to me.
