Level 17 at the end..although once the "cut scene" started it abruptly exits to desktop after reading the story text...not sure if it's supposed to do this?
Here's my final character - pure meele with Alchemy and some misc. general skills, I pretty much never used a spell the entire game.
I have one thing to say. WOO HOO Damage Resistance! At the end of the game I was nigh untouchable for 80% of the monsters and the ones that could hit me would do only a few points of damage. I ended up damaging myself more often with Demon Oil than any other way.

Congrats! That is a serious bad ass character you've got there!

Thanks, the imbuing with high-level heavy armor is nuts actually. I don't think that the folks over in the heavy vs. light poll have had the pleasure of Damage Resistance, or they would sway over to the "dark side" and adopt heavy armor.
Also: even unskilled in Move Silent and only 1 point in Hide in Shadow I was silent and hidden almost always while wearning my full plate mail, clank clank clank LOL. I think the high stats overwhelm the low skill points.
One thing I regret was not realizing the scarcity and importance of spider silk early in the game. I think I sold some only to realize later that you need it for imbuing armor, and it is very hard to find. Hence my breastplate is not magical so the build is not optimized.
But who cares, it's a really fun game and now I get to go back and try as a mage or something.
I must admit I was tempted by the dupe exploit so I'm glad you removed it in the patch.

I'll look into why the end animation ended prematurely.
I'm not sure how/why you would have been Hidden much with just one point. I'll look into that too.

Only 20 Endurance and 6 in Dodge? Ouch!
I just finished the game (1.02) and the ending scene played fine for me?
Finished at Level 16 25 hours:

Just finished a few minutes ago, great game I love it.
All I can say is stoneskin (or invisibility) > spire guards
19 hours level 18, did every quest I could find, although the pin locked chest in the goblin citadel makes me think I missed at least one, and because of the order I did things possibly more.

Great game, great respect to developers
12 hours, 16 level, did almost all quests, exept giant lavras' quest
, because they don't stack )) I think hide in shadow skill + predator sight are too overpowering...
Waiting Book II )

An interesting point. When I finished the Destroyer ending I got the ending cutscene and credit scroll properly. When I finish with the "normal" ending using the same savegame I don't get the credit scroll (I do get the beginning of the cutscene with the "good" story text but then it just exits to desktop, no scroll).

In 1.03, I flush the keyboard and mouse just before the animation starts. I think this will prevent a lingering click from ending the sequence prematurely. After the animation is running you can press any key to end it.

Clicking at the end credits, seems to exit the game... is that so that we can't blame you if we're tempted to start a new character and loose yet another 20 odd hours of our lives to Eschalon? heh
But I thought it was funny that it didn't go back to the title screen.

I finish the game just before minutes and I don't think is a matter of "lingering click", because i try it many times and click very careful and quick - besides in the outro cut-scene with giving the Crux to Gramuk everything works ok. Also the Destroyer outro cut-scene works fine too.
Here's my 16 lvl (just level-up) character putting the Crux in place:
And 17 lvl (I level up again in the battle with the guards) just earned the title Destroyer and BUFFed to the max with Divination and Elemental spells:
THIS GAME IS AWESOME !!! THANK YOU THOMAS !!! I WISH YOU ALL BEST !!! AND WE AWAITING "BOOK II" !!!
P.S.
Meanwhile I will replay "Book I" at least few more times
