The description of it is a bit vague both in-game and in the manual.

It says to improve almost everything. You can think of it as "Luck" in other rpgs.

I guess it is related to two other skills one is bows which uses concentration to aim and (This one is my guess) for casting spells, when you cast a spell at point blank range (any spell) there is a chance that it will be interrupted because of the enemy near you so increasing concentration you reduce this penalty, but this is my guess nothing official

If anybody can show what it does, I'd like to know too. I never raise it on any character above its starting value. I've not found it to have a tangible effect on anything. I've never played an archer though...

Just a quick glance at the rule system shows me that Concentration...
- Makes traps easier to disarm (boosts Skulduggery)
- Boosts your ToHit with all weapons (concentration allows you to focus on vulnerable spots on your target)
- Gives you more damage with a bow (concentration allows you to more accurately place arrows in fatal zones)
- Concentration boosts your maximum holdable weight (think of it as mental toughness, being able to haul lots of weight and still do other tasks normally)
- Helps prevent spell failure when casting while surrounded by creatures.

I think it'd be great if you added critical damage as a side effect of concentration. It'd be great if I could score double damage/healing on the occasional spell or occasional melee attack based on concentration. Something along the lines of concentration score:
7-14 no bonus, takes a perfect 20 to score double damage.
15-22 now a 19 or 20 scores double damage
23-25 now a 18-20 scores double damage
26-29 now a 18-19 scores double and a 20 scores triple
30+ now a 18-20 scores triple
You'd have to balance it as you see fit, but I think a concrete bonus to criticals would get many more people focusing on concentration.
