Try to find some info about that in tye forum but i cant.
I read that one stategy of killing without receiving any dmg is Hide in the shadows during night. I was willing to test that method, but i gave up eventually. I had difficulties to see anything. If i use torch or lantern i mobs see me. the only way is using Predator sight right ? But still this spell give small light around you, moving in open area with such a bad sight range result that i am missing chests and other more/less important things during exploration.
Am i missing something ?

Yes, you are missing the Divination spell Cat's Eye. You can see enough to move around in the dark when you use it. Also, there are potions of Cat's Eye available to purchase or to make (if you have enough points in Alchemy).

Some people also adjust the brightness settings on their monitor to help in low light situations.

No, it affects the duration of the effect.

I will try that approach again.

Or kill stuff in the dark using predator sight and then use a light source to move around to loot and remove traps.
