Just got Eschalon 1+2 from the recent GoG package sale...I was mainly interested in the Spiderweb games, but it turns out I got an unexpected bonus that I'm enjoying the heck out of.

Ran into something kinda odd, though, and I'm curious about it. After solving the Bronze puzzle and getting Ruel's book and treasure, I decided to take it back to tell his sister Wendy, and she flipped out and tried to kill me, having apparently been infected by the same craziness that got the priest's acolyte. Is this part of a quest I haven't found the beginning to yet?

Just hold onto the book and think of someplace that might LOVE a rare book.

I know where to take it, and what else I need to complete that mini-arc. I was just surprised by this little easter-egg like thing, and wanted to be sure turning in the book wouldn't lock me out of another quest chain related to curing Wendy of her craziness or something.

Oh, you'll cure Wendy of her craziness, all right. You'll cure her permanently.

But no, there's no good ending to that plot. Show her the book and she attacks you, or don't and she remains secretly malevolent. Come to think of it: I wonder what happens if you charm her when she attacks you? Are you able to talk to her again? I'll have to try this later.
