Drop it and you have 5 turns to get to safe distance! They are very fun to play with, especially with the updated blast function.

Um, yes?! I'd also love to see kegs (both varieties) show up in shop inventories. Having a limited supply in Book II was sad for amateur demolitionists.

I like the idea since you can set it up to lure in a monster instead of having to do enough damage to detonate it from a distance and missing by a sliver of health.

Any chance of adding that kegs can detonate if they are in your backpack and you take damage? :)

Of course.

The other thing is, you can use them around corners where a direct line of sight is not possible (as required in Book 2 to throw an object at it for detonation).

If there's anything left of them...

Beautiful! That's also nice for when I don't happen to be carrying anything to throw at a keg... that happened to me several times during Books I and II.

Bravo!

You can always stand next to the keg and give it a good whack. You might even survive it. :)

I'm worried the new mechanic will nerf my "punches powder kegs, walks through collapsing portcullises, and is so tough he doesn't have to eat" build.

The last version of Book 2 increased the damage due to starvation and thirst so you couldn't ignore food and water for too long. BW made it go up per groups of rounds the longer you waited. :(

Most definitely - drop, run out of the room and wait ....................... for the bang.

Nice!

Can you defuse them?

Say... if a villainous enemy traps you in a room with one?

Goblin Engineer: Instead of getting nearby and exploding, he will chase you and drop these barrels when he gets on to you, causing hilarious chain explosions.

I think that is an excellent question!
