Yes, unless more people enjoyed the Book 1 approach: demo and full separate versions.

Maybe have a poll? I would support the Book II version.

I prefer the book II version as well. The other question is whether it had any effect on sales. The Book II version is a lot less work on BW's part, also, if my thinking is correct. Especially when someone loses their installer and needs to get a new one, or when updates occur.

Another vote for the Book II model. I like the fact that I can download it from anywhere and just look up my registration number in old email. Of course, everybody else is using Steam these days, so it's probably not a big deal for them.

I think most of the regulars here have bought the game via Basilisk Games dot com. I purchased both Books from Basilisk Games and I am damn well going to purchase the third one the same way, just for the sake of something.

I loved the Book II registration system because it meant you didn't have to start over, you could just continue with the plot from where you were.
And I too will probably be buying Book III directly from Basilsik Games.

I will also be buying direct from Basilisk, what I would like to know is, how do I download the purchased game into 2 different computers? Will the registration code work for both, or do I have to buy the game twice?

If it works like Book II, you can download and install the game on as many computers as you want. You'll have to enter the code each time, though.

[...].
That is exactly why I do prefer the Book II registration system.
By the way, has there been made any announcement concerning the selling price so far? The official purchase-site does not list the third part, yet.

The only thing I didn't like about it was that the Book II DVD had version 1.03 which you couldn't patch.
If there's one general weakness in the BG approach, that would be it - that you have to download the entire game again with every new version, rather than just downloading an update patch. But I'm not really going to hold it against a one-man operation if working up version-patches is just too much trouble.
As to the original question, I think I also prefer the Book II approach, though I did really like one thing about the Book I approach - and that's that you could have two games going simultaneously: one on the demo, and one on the "regular" game app...

Well... there once was this one guy who did a speedrun on two different Mega Man games while playing them simultaneously.

separate version is better:
1) Small download size - faster download lower load on filehosting service.
2) Savefiles can be made compatable
3) Full control over available content
some users may find 1-2 gb download size for demo unacceptable soo they wont ever try this game and wont have a chance to pay for it.

Ill admit here that i knew NOTHING about the series til someone mentioned it on Majorgeeks. I then bought both copies of my I and II for like 5 bucks combined on steam.
Now that im a part of the family, ill be buying the game through BG and also on steam as i like to have steam as a backup to download games.
and i wont be waiting on a sale this time!
