How to reach the first one?

Go into the bushes and head northeast and eventually you get there. Stay in walk mode and mode the cursor direction to keep going.

Ah nevermind on the second one, found it.

you go around the two trees and get in there from the top corner..

How did you get into those wonderful minning spots?

I walked all the way through the second level and down the mine tracks.

The chest's engraving is perfectly clear, you get nothing.

If I remember correctly, the one you just posted with the silver-colored chest on the Moonrise map is accessible from an isolated part of the Southern Boglands in the northwest section of the map; that area in turn is accessible from the northeast of the Baasilt Dunes. In the Southern Boglands, a narrow passage leads diagonally to the northwest corner of the map; follow that to the end, and you can get to this region. I think there were also some clams in the area.

The fourth one in the original post had me a bit frustrated; the barrel looks like it should be accessible, but there is a hidden barrier in the way. It might just be there to frustrate the player, or I suppose that it could be a bug. Has anyone tried putting down a powder keg there? (I can't remember whether I tried that or not.)

I tried blowing up the invisible barrier to no avail. And the picture of the silvery chest was there not because I could not find it, but because the engraved message is cryptic.

I looked around in the beginning level but didn't find a way.

If I remember correctly, once you complete the scorpion and roach quests the second level is unlocked and you can decend further into the mine.

that is very strange. Perhaps a bug.
I cleared out level 1 and completed the quest. The gate to level 2 is still locked!

Interesting, because they didn't unlock for me either. Shall have to go and double-check on that.
