Suggestion pertaining to object conditions

Hi guys, just wanted to say that I am very much looking forward to the finished game! I will definately have to have a look at it...

One thing I couldn't help thinking about looking at your screenshots:

The "Object condition: 100%" is a bit immersion breaking... Perhaps some sort of quality grading akin to what was implemented in the Ultima Underworld games would be worth considering. Anyway, that's of course a very minor detail.

As I said, looking forward to it!

Thanks for the suggestion, Exodus.

Perhaps it does get a bit redunant when everything you click on tells you its condition. We'll play around with it and see what we can do.

You're more than welcome.

I'm really looking forward to the finished game. I would have offered my help as a beta tester, but as others have mentioned - it might ruin the final experience somewhat. Also, I'm busy working and getting things sorted before moving overseas...

But I'll just hang back and keep an eye on things - and when it's done I'll certainly buy a copy!

I think Fallout did a good job with examining objects. Instead of:
You see a damp, smelly barrel. Object condition: 100%,

how about: A barrel

It tells you the same thing without taking up so much space, then if you actually examine the object, you get all the details.

It's also a good way to hide easter eggs. You could have a room with 6 barrels, one of which is called
A discoloured barrel, or A barrel with the top stoved in

You get the idea.

Just wanted to say that I totally support this idea of examining to get further details, including condition (or possible hidden treasure).
