I did search this forum but all I could find are hits to text, NONE on how to get there.

I am assuming that I have to get into Alandar's Realm, which I cannot figure out how to do.

So, HOW do we get to the Astral Mountains and Alandar's Realm (spoilers please)

To get into the Astral Range and lands beyond:

You need to pass through the Omentor Temple. This requires you to find some widgets hidden away in different places. Also to fight some monsters.

To add on to what Randomizer said:

There are a total of four widgets, though only two are absolutely necessary in order to get through the temple. THe locations of the four widgets are (Thanks to Helivoy, Ssschah, and others for compilation):
Gear in Wrecked Ship
Bracket in Akadai Underworld
Spring in Moonrise Repository
Bolt in Ruined Castle

Wait... what? When I got to the temple I had two of them, but had to go back and get the other two because of the locks requiring them. You saying there's a way to bypass the locked doors?

Which two widgets are required? It's the spring and the _______? Someone help remind me.

Gear is the first one if I remember correctly.

The other is

that is needed to exit the last gate. You can use a powder keg to open a gate to bypass the middle two widget controlled gates.
