So I'd been digging around in the Eschalon binary to make sure I knew about all possible materials on items, and noticed that there seems to be a bunch of special prefixes for weapons/armor which don't actually appear in-game. Or at least, there's a bunch I don't remember seeing, anyway. So, here's the list! It'd be fun to figure out if there's a way to coerce any of these into generating, to see what kinds of bonuses they'd have.

Prefixes first:
  • Apocalyptic
  • Assassin's
  • Battleworn
  • Daemonic
  • Diamond-encrusted
  • Dreadful
  • Elemental
  • Emerald-encrusted
  • Epic Bulwark
  • Epic Intellectus
  • Epic Journeyman's
  • Epic Physicallis
  • Epic Shadowmaster's
  • Epic Strider's
  • Epic Tinker's
  • Epic Warrior
  • Excellent
  • Fancy
  • Fiendish
  • Finely made
  • Fire Resistant
  • Fireproof
  • Flimsy
  • Frigid
  • Frostbitten
  • Hellforged
  • Hero's
  • Hexed
  • Immune
  • Impervious
  • Insulated
  • Ionized
  • Jackrabbit's
  • Keen
  • Lifecutter
  • Loathsome
  • Lucifer's
  • Midnight
  • Mighty
  • Perfect
  • Prime
  • Resistant
  • Rogue's
  • Ruby-encrusted
  • Serpentine
  • Sneaky
  • Sorcerer's
  • Strongman's
  • Supreme
  • Swift
  • Tailored
  • Trickster's
  • Vorpal
And now suffixes:
  • +1
  • +2
  • +3
  • +4
  • of Divinity
  • of Focus
  • of Health
  • of Purity
  • of Rage
  • of the Cat
  • of the Immaculate
  • of the Philosopher

Actually, Epic Intellectus I've seen from the weapon vendor in Macross Point. I believe that's +4 intelligence.

Looking more closely down that list, there are plenty that I've seen. Supreme, Fiendish, etc. Each one is a particular bonus level on the object at creation.

I've definitely seen a "Hellforged" weapon in at least one of my playthroughs as well.

That said, some of those prefixes (e.g. Keen(?), I think), I don't think I've seen since Book I...

Vorpal? I've yet to see a vorpal sword in any of the games.

Although - I do remember that somebody around here has a signature of a vorpal bunny

Yeah, I didn't mean to imply that they were all modifiers that I hadn't seen - I'd say at least half were familiar to me. From my notes when I was looking into it, I know for sure that I've seen: "of the Immaculate," Epic Intellectus, Epic Strider's, Frostbitten, Hellforged, Hexed, Ionized, Loathsome, Perfect, Resistant, Supreme, Insulated, Frostbitten, Fireproof, and "+N," though I don't recall if I've seen up to +4. I know I've seen a number of the other "Epic" items as well. I know I've seen at least one of the "-encrusted" as well. I'm sure there are more, too.
