As I found a few, I though that sharing my knowledge could be a good thing.
And I hope you will kindly point me toward the ones I've missed.
I'm not going to talk about blockbuster indie games like Braid or Wolrd of Goo (2D Boy), but more little games and studios I like.
I hope everyone here knows about Basilisk Games (...) and Spiderweb Software, but I'm not going to stick to RPG games here.
The fisrt studio I ever heard of was Introversion (action games, 75% with a Linux Client).
Then I stumbled upon Moonpod.
After that, I fell in love with indie developers.
So, here is my list (most of these are commercial games, feel free to give me links about good free games):
- Amanita Design (Flash games - Machinarium, Samorost - Linux)
Aldorlea (RPG Maker games)
Amaranth Games (RPG Maker games, known for the Aveyond series)
Bit Blot (Aquaria - Linux)
BlossomSoft (RPG Maker)
Charlie's Games (mostly shoot'em up)
Chronic Logic (known for Gish - Linux games)
Frictional Games (Horror Adventure games with good physics)
Grundislav Games (small free AGS games)
Heroic Fantasy Games (Knights of the Chalice)
John Wizard Games (RPG Maker with lots of puzzle and humor)
Mode7 Games (Frozen Synapse)
Niels Bauer Games
Positech Games (Gratuitous Space Battle)
RosePortal Games (RPG Maker)
Wadjet Eye Games (AGS games known for the Shivah and Blackwell trilogy)
- Irontower Studio (Age of Decadence)
Planewalker Games (The Broken Hourglass)
