You mean so you can't look 'over' three walls and find the lever you need to find?

Seriously though, the game would be more interesting and difficult if you could only see where you've been.

Old school, people, old school!

Some of us LIKE being able to see over walls to know which rooms have the treasures, monsters, etc... ;)

The lack of FoW does certainly give Eschalon a sense of old-school charm.

On the other hand, Temple of Apshai had fog and it's pretty old-school. :P

Include the feature but make it "toggle-able"? Then comes the problem of should it be on or off as default.. :)

Well ... to make it even more difficult ... for those who want "fog" ... how 'bout parts of the map, that shows what you've explored, have a chance of disappearing if the map gets wet?

Walk through a stream, or stay out in the rain ... and parts of your map "run".

LOL

Now that we're getting into absurd details, can there be an option for insomnia?

Or sleepwalking?

Or narcolepsy? Suppose, for example, we have a tendency of falling asleep at really inappropriate times and in really inappropriate places?
Certainty: a character-driven, literary, turn-based mini-CRPG in which Vasek, legendary "Wandering Philosopher", seeks certainties in a cryptically insular, organic, critically layered city.

-What if...there was a .001% chance for a meteor to hit the Eschalon world and you would have to restart?
