He means a barrel behind the house in which a worried girl lives.
You can get there on your way through the church to the well-dungeon, behind the trees. It is not a random items container, you can only get those blood-stained boots there.
What I love about them is that you can enchant them
Blood stained boots +2 sounds so profound and awesome at the same time.

Those boots have been nagging me. I'm sure I must be missing some plot line where I can use the boots to show who actually killed Wendy's brother. After all, there's that mention of blood tracked all over when you check out his place.
Hey, maybe it was even Wendy who did it in some sleeping trance or some other evil trick of dark magick...

Those boots seem like they should be connected to something, so I held onto them, but I have yet to find a use for them.

I'm not sure either but I have the faintest recollection there was a connection but got dropped or was unfinished due to lack of time. It might have made the game even later to come out than it did. I, too, though you could confront her with the boots and say her voices made her go kill him and then forget it. Shrug. Just another to make fan stories about.

Don't make more work for me, DL. =P I have enough trouble wading through my own mess. I did make some progress on my next piece, though. It'll be another departure from the norm... whatever that is. Hopefully I'll have it finished up within the next week or so. ^_^
