Yes it's true, Spiderweb games allow you to pick up everything. That doesn't mean it's necessary. I think Eschalon did an excellent job with inventory items, and such. It was a great game.
However, I do think that it would be cool to have more character detail. Not just your character but those that ...

I agree Acoustibop, a running option would fit quite nicely.... Perhaps there would be a way to incorporate a steed or mount in some way too? I like how it says that the Therish are renown for their Cavalry Skill, and yet there is not one single horse in the whole game. (I know I know, they're off ...

I can see where both of you are coming from. I myself love the speed it is now, when I'm exploring, fighting, searching, etc. But if is a place that I've already exhausted....
what if there were a "quick travel" within an area. Like you could click on a point on the map, and it would speed up time ...

I can see what you mean Daemian. What if there were some kind of guilds, though. Like there could be Mage guilds, Fighter guilds, Thief guilds, and so on.... for "extracurricular quests?" You could work your way through the ranks, have discounts (for example: if you're high in the Mage guild, you ...

My personal choice would be to play a solo character. But have NPCs maybe follow you around. I love the character interaction of party-style RPGs, (I particularly enjoyed the Baldur's Gate series.) You can do so much with the story. (betrayals, romantic subplots, etc.) And I definitely think Book II ...

Occupational Skills and Quests.
I just thought of a really cool idea for EB2. What if there were more occupational skills, and quests.
I really don't like most MMORPGs, but one thing I think they do have going for them is occupational skills. Wouldn't it be cool if you had like BLACKSMITHING, and WOODCRAFTING, and other such ...

I personally would like it to cover more are than the first. The second book of every Trilogy is always the darkest, and most struggling for the characters. I think the struggle needs to be even bigger than just one area.
(Besides I want to explore as much as possible.) I agree that the third book ...
