Well, whatever it is seems to have corrected itself. I'm on now in Safari.

Oddly, I can get to the forums using Firefox, but not using Safari. I'm thinking it's something on Apple's end.

Cool. I was worried when I tried to come on the other day and the board was gone, but checked the Basilisk home page and saw you were doing updates.

Sadly, it doesn't run on the new Mac systems, so I haven't played in a while.

HA! I admit that I started a lot more playthroughs than I ever finished, but I finished each game at least once. Game 1 I finished a bunch of times with different character types to try things out.

Yeah, I'm at the bottom end of the specs and it shows in some of the big battle sections. But the game is pretty cool. The game has some odd bits, also, where it's hard to get a quest or to figure out how to complete it, and I think some of them can't be completed if you've gone certain places ...

I may have to wait to finish this game until I get around to getting a better computer. This old iMac is not handling the area in the epic battle. I've had trouble with a few of the larger earlier zones as well. Of course, I've been thinking about getting a new machine since this old thing also won ...

It's more like Baldur's Gate than Eschalon. GOG had it on sale last week (may still be) for something like 50% off. I admit, I had it in my library for years and never tried it until about a month ago and was really pleasantly surprised.

Yes, I'm checking in with my old pals here at the Pub. Who else has tried out Black Geyser? I've been playing it the last few weeks and enjoying some of their mechanics and some of the different possibilities. The dusts/powders you can create and use make for some interesting additions to game play ...
