Re: translation issues

Be patient, he has a lot on his plate at the moment, not to mention here in the states it's a big holiday. Probably having quality time with his family. Well, I'm being patient )

Also, BW has answered to me already, so I think that the issue is solved and there is not much to worry about.

Thank ...

Re: translation issues

Quick one: have you contacted BW in order to ask hilm for help to translate this game into Russian?

If you look at other threads in this board, you'll see that BW doesn't want anyone to "hack" in a translation but work with him.

So basically, ask him for help directly, not the average user ...

translation issues

Hi. I'm working on translation of Book2 into Russian. I think I'm doing fine, but there is one technical problem I don't like at all.

I was testing if cyrillic text can be properly displayed in the game, so I did some tests and here is what I have found. While all "static" text (in books, notes and ...

Cape Sorrow glitch

At the Cape Sorrow there is a strange spiritual symbol containing several gems. Naturally, when you open it, you get stunned for 3-4 rounds, and a pack of cursed undead appears. They immediately begin to beat you and unless you're a real superhero, they kill you before you are able to move again ...

Re: [EDIT[Possible Glitch] Port Kuudad - Guard won't let you

If the gate has been opened you always can sneak into the guard room with a lever and close the gate. Then you can show your writ to the guard and he will open the gate properly.

But it still can be a bug, because you cannot enter the guard room inside the city to open the gates from the inside ...

Cartography book easter egg

So I found this Cartography book called "Trough the lost realms". The book tells the story of a young boy who got lost in the woods and when he finally finds his way back home, he realizes that there are some strange people living in his house instead of his parents.

He returns back to the woods ...

Re: Rogue's basic - Traps and Locks

Can you explain please the mechanics of trap disarming and lock picking in case of 4th challege rule being active (the rule concerning predetermined seed for random functions)?

It seems to me that increasing my stats and skills does not have any impact on the locks and traps I'm trying to deal with ...

Re: Places like home

In Book1 I invented this trick. I camped near the town until I was attacked by some random encounter monsters. Some of killed monsters dropped the loot. So I used those loot parcels as a containers to store my items. The parcel stays as long as you keep at least 1 item in it, and you can have as ...

Re: Bestiary in Book2

Thanks for the pictures )

For the most part, encountering a new monster is a trial-and-error process. Save the game, then take it on and find out its strengths and weaknesses.

Oh, no. This is not about strengths and weaknesses at all. What I wanted to say was the fact that the bestiary makes the ...

Re: Food and starving

I found it is possible to go on without ever eating. When hungry, you lose 1 HP every 30 rounds. But with decent Endurance you regenerate significantly faster. Also, hungry PC has some trouble with sleep, but the thing is, he CAN sleep and regenerate HP and mana, even if he wakes up from time to ...

Bestiary in Book2

Hello.

I believe I've seen some screenshots earlier, depicting the bestiary book entry, with an image of some beast and its description. I always loved bestiary journals in rpg games, and I thought it was great that Book2 was going to have one.

And now all I see in the game is short text ...
