I experienced something which seems related to this, in 1.03:
I fought some thugs at night, used cat's eye, so I wasn't at a penalty, but they did not seem affected by the darkness either. I was killed. Normally night fighting is the only way I can beat multiple thugs, so I hope this isn't going to ...

Ouch, I was unaware of that. I thought the only difference in classes was the freebie skill. Thanks for letting me know, that will help when planning future characters (my current one is a Warlock).

I get less than that per level myself, and my character has an Endurance of 25, and a Strength of either 22 or 20, I forget which. I think I got 6 hp last level-up (6th level). I could be wrong, but that's what I recall. I've never gotten as much as 7/lvl, I'm pretty sure.

I think the percentage chance of success can be problematic with some skills, especially Pick Lock. I mean, I only have a skill of 3 thanks to some magic gloves and still I can pick most locks with little trouble. If I need six attempts that isn't really a problem. I know a single door that I find ...

I am feeling this as well. Also, I originally wanted to maintain a number of skills with my character, but with the constant combat and survival difficulties I experience, I find myself forced to pump points into a few combat related skills, and let the rest stagnate save for the occasional point ...

Critical hits are based on your Skill with the weapon you are using. If you have a 9 in Short-Bladed Weapons, then on every attack you have a 9% chance of scoring a critical hit.

Short-Bladed Weapons were designed to allow Magic Users & Rogues to have a lightweight weapon available to them, since ...

You need to have some lockpicks in your inventory, then you will be prompted to make the attempt when you click on a locked object. You can buy them at the inn/tavern in the first town you come to.

Re: Noximanders... How to get rid of them?

Hi,

I would first like to say, that I bought this game and love it so far.

I find it a little on the hard side to begin. It is not very forgiving, if you don't have let's say Light Armor in your skills, you are pretty much screwed, you have to wait until you get to level 2, I guess.

Those ...

Yup, cool game. I made a Warlock with some rogue and unarmed combat skills today, and am enjoying playing him quite a bit. Very fun stuff.
