I'd really love it if most of the adventure would happen in the shadowy streets of a fantasy city. But, as far as my experience with RPG Maker goes, this is several times more time-consuming design activity than wilderness and dungeons. So we're leaving this option out.

I'd vote for a really huge ...

I must add that "size matters". When playing in fullscreen mode, one step is several times greater depending on your monitor size, so speed almost always appears to be good :D

Although I actually had some light performance issues on my office workstation(P4 2,4 GHz with a gig of RAM), so ...

I thing divine ore sword from lilith's chest is the most powerful weapon in the game with 12 damage. It's also available quite early in the game. Recurved composite longbow which i found to be the best bow with damage of 8 can also be obtained quite early from the ossuary. A mace from chest with ...

A lot of Spiderweb fans such as myself are a bit bored with Vogel releasing same games year after year, and Depths of Peril is just crap to my mind, so there's little to no competition to this excellent game!

Finished the game and got destroyer. That was quite easy, I must say. I just had to use 5 best mana potions and about 100 flight arrows. Invisibility+bless+enkindled&enchanted weapon worked fine. http://img220.imageshack.us/img220/4171/destroyer3rq8.png

I never got to use haste and I'm curious how ...

Solo.

My arguments for it:

1)Combat is an essential part of gameplay, but RPG gameplay is not only combat. Wizardry or goldbox games are true hardcore oldschool, but I sure don't want to play something like that now. When I'm going from Bordertown to Blackwater, I'm ok with dispatching several ...

I don't think there's any real disbalance, although I've never played any pure melee specialist, only rogue-bowman-mage type, so can't be too sure.

Having said that, I'd actually want to bump up high-level spells damage, or mana pool, or both. High-level specialist casters should probably be able ...

Most of supplementary skills can be trained to a fair level with books and trainers. So you can easily excel in at least 2 weapons, or a weapon and an arcane school(predator sight rocks for dungeons!). Just roll the stats right beforehand.

I've read about 1mp/3steps a number of times, but it seems to me that it's NOT the cap actually! I have 1mp/2steps now and I have only 32per(27+2 ring+3 hat)+5 meditation(amulet), so that is 37. Maybe that's because of druidic faifth.

The Witcher is the only game on the list that can compete with Eschalon, to my mind. Except for I don't have xbox360 to try Mass Effect. Nethergate is no fun having played more than a half other Spiderweb games, Oblivion is decently made mainstream shit, Two Worlds is a poorly made mainstream shit ...

The game is great at all, but I'd like to especially notice its sound. All EAX and stuff in mainstream games just adds to the fun, but you usually don't lose a tiny bit of gameplay when playing mute. Digitised speech is great, but old games had it with text perfectly.

On the other hand, I can ...

1280x1024 is insane, I have 1440*900 on my PC and 1024*768 on my laptop, so none of my computers is going to be able to use such resolution. And I'm not going to buy something bigger than 19" widescreen, I have a TV for movies and other stuff I want to see on the big screen.

Personally I find ...
