Re: Speed up development of Book II via prepay option?

Good thought, Elveron. There's also the point that prepayment would put pressure on Basilisk Games to bring out the Book II to a deadline, which could result in it's being buggy or flawed. Personally, I'd rather have the game as well thought out and finished as Book I was (even though it wasn't perf...

Re: How did you learn about our game?

Fairly sure I found it from a forum - probably the official Ubuntu ones.

Re: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness

I think it's a Linux thing - apparently the game uses OSS only for sound and it doesn't seem to very well implemented. Many Linux users are finding this, and I'm finding it a problem to the point where, although it looks like a fun game, the sound problems along with the associated jerkiness make it...

Re: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness

I tried the demo a while ago - looks nice, but a lot of people (including me) are having sound problems with it.

Re: Chronometer...

AIR they're heavy and not terrifically useful, Stalfos - that's probably why they don't get mentioned much.

Curious, though; I'm pretty sure they've been mentioned before, but a search only throws up your post.

Re: CANT FIND OSSUARY EGG

And whatever happened to figuring it out for yourself? Somehow, I always thought that was a large part of the fun in playing games like this.

But I know people who won't even start a game without a comprehensive guide at hand. Seems a bit pointless to me... :?:

Re: Where's the full download

Good to hear it works, synthecin, but wouldn't it have been better to post in this thread rather than starting another thread to say so - particularly as Basilisk Wrangler has so kindly merged your previous two threads?

Edit: BTW thanks for that, BW. :)

Re: Skills, Gold, and Travel Requirements

Something you can do to carry over something from your cartography skills in a previous game is to copy off all the map files from a save. In fact, although you'll probably keep the dungeon files separately, you can make up your own overworld map from the separate overworld files. Someone in fact di...

Re: Not to be an idiot but how do you install eschalon?

Yes, you should disable Compiz when playing games, synthecin. It's not a good idea to start duplicate threads for the same problem. It means that people (yourself included) will just get confused trying to follow the responses for the same problem in 2 different places. So I don't propose to answer ...

Re: Where's the full download

You should have received an email with a download link, synthecin. If you didn't, you need to contact the supplier you bought the game from. If you want to get the sound working, the first thing you have to do is run the game from a terminal and see if you get any error messages. You also need to te...

Re: Skills, Gold, and Travel Requirements

Nobody said it would be easy, CobraEye.

But the point is that there are only a limited number of skill points you can earn in the game, whereas you can continue earning gold indefinitely. So it makes sense to substitute gold for skill points wherever possible.

First thing to do is try it, synthecin. If it works, you don't have to bother about it. ;)

No, the +4 is Damage, Stalfos.

That's a good thought - makes me even happier I didn't take the quest to kill Lilith. ;)

Re: Which is you favourite weapon?

I think the most powerful weapon in the game is the Divine Ore Great Sword, Stalfos. It has a Base Damage of 11and weighs 12lb - obviously you can imbue it with +3 ToHit and +3 Damage. However, you get it as part of a quest that involves killing Lilith - not a nice thing to do... I was lucky enough ...
